DECEMBER SUNSET

Five-Mile Hill

The first snow is melted to expose the winter wheat poking its head above the ground. No matter the time of year, this vista always makes me catch my breath and give thanks for living in such a beautiful part of Washington state.

  1. That is just beautiful. We do live in a very beautiful state. Where is five mile hill located?

    1. Going east on Mill Creek Road (past Klickers), bear right when you come to the Y. (Going left will take you to Kooskooskie.) Follow the road up and over the hill with wheat fields on both sides. Be sure to look behind you because the view both ways is equally magnificent.
