LOOKING DOWN--CDP JULY THEME

Skyscraper of the Palouse

This is one in a series of photographs taken by As Seen By Susan of the silos and grain elevators that dot the landscape
throughout the Palouse region of eastern Washington, including the Walla Walla Valley, and western Idaho.

  4. I love the reflection. I like to shoot reflections, especially from puddles on the rare occasions we get rain.

    1. Thank you. I love grain elevators as I live in wheat country, and I love reflective shots, so this was a two-fer!

  6. I appreciate the compliment. I find these tall grain elevators particularly beautiful set against the wheat fields and sky of the area where I live.

  8. Lovely idea for theme day. I visited Portland recently. If I had more time, I would have ventured in your direction. Maybe next trip :).

  9. Yes, Walla Walla is NOT on anyone's way from here to there. It's off the beaten track. Even the Oregon Trail dropped this stop for a more direct way to the coast.
