WELCOME TO WALLA WALLA, WASHINGTON

The Town So Nice, They Named It Twice

Walla Walla is located in the southeast corner of Washington state, about 270 miles east of Seattle. That means it doesn't always rain in WW as it does west of the Cascade mountain range. The population of the town itself is about 32,000; the population of Walla Walla County is nearly 60,000. Walla Walla’s agricultural industry is the backbone of its economy. Wheat, onions, potatoes and wine grapes are some of the crops grown in Walla Walla County. The swath of green in the foreground is spring wheat that is already 12 inches tall, and it's only April 1. Wheat harvest usually begins in the middle of July depending on the weather and can run through August.

    1. Yes it is. I haven't been there in years, especially since now the new highway by-passes that part of the old Highway 12. I'll have to go out there soon.

  5. I confess I've never in your corner of the woods... But I went to the other WW, in New South Wales, Australia, for a business meeting. One day maybe...
